The Assembly member for Wassa Bawdie electoral area, in the Wassa Amenfi East municipal in the Western region, Mr Matthew Manu has called for support from philanthropist, Non Government Organizations and the government to support the community to complete their ultramodern community center project.
He said if the community durbar center is completed, it would help accelerate financial and community development in the area’s in Wassa Bawdie community.
The Assembly member told Nana Kwame Boah, a journalist that, the project was initiated by the chiefs, community inhabitants and support from the member of Parliament for Wassa Amenfi East but due to the inadequate funds, the project got halt.
He said the Wassa Bawdie community on 15th March, community will organise a fund raising ceremony to help raise money to complete the project thus, calling on all citizens abroad and philanthropist to come and help drive the agenda.
Hon. Matthew Manu said it formed part of chief’s and his social responsibilities to ensure that inhabitants in the mining community had access to proper avenue for public occasions.
