Looks like not many of you believe Ole Gunnar Solskjaer saying Paul Pogba is out for a few weeks with a hamstring injury.

    2. Get Involved

Seth Gogo Egoeh: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs to tell us how Paul Pogba got his new injury. We need to know exactly how he got injured yet again! This is unacceptable.

Shane O’Neill: Pogba injured? Again? I don’t think so. This is suspicious. Wouldn’t surprise me if they’re negotiating to sell him and a condition of this is to leave him out of the squad.

Henry Ellison: Looks like Pogba is definitely leaving this January. He cannot be injured again, clearly just doesn’t want to play. Need midfield reinforcements. If we play with Matic and Pereira in midfield we will never get top four.

Another quick United break and Daniel James wins a corner. Anthony Martial looks OK I think. He was moving well in that move.

The free-kick is punched away by Bernd Leno. Arsenal try to counter but Nemanja Matic fouls Alexandre Lacazette. They want Matic booked, but it wasn’t as bad as that Arsenal foul a minute ago.

Sead Kolasinac is booked for that foul on Daniel James.

Daniel James v Sead Kolasinac in a race. There was only ever going to be one winner. Kolasinac had to foul James to stop him.

United have a shot within 60 seconds. They move quickly from back to forward and Marcus Rashford’s 30-yard strike is held by Bernd Leno.

The ninth and final Premier League game of the day begins.

  8. ‘A fabulous performance and fabulous result’

    West Ham 4-0 Bournemouth

    West Ham United

West Ham manager David Moyes speaking to BBC Match of the Day: “The players were magnificent from the start, they bought into the idea to get the supporters back onside and they did.

“I’ve not had a lot of time to work with them so the credit has to go to the players and no-one epitomised that more than Mark Noble and Declan Rice.

“I think it was a fabulous performance and fabulous result. Bournemouth are a really good team. They can hurt any team on the day. It could have been more, we missed some chances as well, but I’m taking it. I told them they can and will play much better.”

On Aaron Cresswell’s overturned red card: “I didn’t think it was a red card in the first place as I thought he got a good chunk of the ball. There is a follow-through but I don’t think he did anything to make it dangerous.”

The players are out on the pitch now. I covered their previous meeting in September and it was just awful. Please let this game be better.

  11. ‘I hate losing games’

    West Ham 4-0 Bournemouth

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe speaking to BBC Match of the Day: “We tried to do the right things, to pass the ball, but we defended poorly in the first half and you can’t do that in any game, home or away, and it cost us.

“We always look at ourselves first, it doesn’t matter who their manager is, you have to do the basics first and we didn’t do that. The effort was there but we are very stretched at the moment, we have players playing who aren’t 100% fit and that is very difficult at this level. So we need those injured players back quickly and we need to stay very resolute in this moment. I hate losing games and not doing my job to the best of my ability and making people happy.”

On whether he has considered his future: “No it hasn’t entered my head and I don’t think that helps. If you are in the job you have to do the the best job you can for the players so any thoughts of that are wasted energy.”

  12. ‘We never give up’

    Man City 2-1 Everton

    Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, speaking to BT Sport: “We played great so I am delighted for the guys. This period is so tough. We did really well. Three more points and closer to Leicester.

“When you are far away from the first position sometimes people give up, but we never give up. We have to keep going. We have FA Cup then the EFL Cup. Other teams dropped points for the top four so it was an important win.”

Is anyone watching this one as their fourth match in a row today? A great schedule for TV audiences to be fair.

  14. ‘Feels like a loss’

    Norwich 1-1 Crystal Palace

    Norwich City

Norwich manager Daniel Farke tells BT Sport: “The lads were brilliant today and Crystal Palace are always well structured and we managed it but we missed chances in the second half and the second goal. It is unbelievably disappointing to concede in the 88th minute and it feels like a loss.

“I know each decision goes against us so no line was shown offside (by VAR).

“It is difficult to create chances against Palace, it was difficult to find the spaces and we hit the bar from six yards. The lads deserved the three points but the reality is only one.

“We cannot influence the other results. we have to come as close to 40 points and it is a long road. It would have been a massive step today so feels even more disappointing to concede the late goal.”

  15. ‘We showed good spirit’

    Man City 2-1 Everton

Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti, speaking to BBC Match Of The Day: “Honestly Manchester City played a really good game and we stayed in the game until the end. At the end City deserved to win – they were better than us. We were too shy in the first half, we had the possession but we were not able to find the solutions.

“In the second half we showed good spirit, now we have to look forward for the next game. We have a difficult game now against Liverpool and we have to keep our spirit. We need time to work and adjust things which are not good. After that game we have time to train to be a better team.”

4-2-4 is the formation I play on Fifa ultimate team. Roy Hodgson and me – kindred spirits.

  17. ‘Boldness paid off’

    Norwich 1-1 Crystal Palace

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson tells BBC Sport: “It was very close [for the goal]. You think it might be offside and with the technology you see someone has stuck a foot out, leaned forward and the margins are fine. We went a goal down early on and I thought we had possession in the first half. We looked like we could score a goal but couldn’t. We took chances in the end with 4-2-4 and got our reward, the boldness of the move paid off.

“It is eight first-team players out, that is too much. We have been lucky to get a good first choice XI on the field but needed players to come in and help out.

“Mamadou Sakho’s injury makes it nine, it is a hamstring and I hope it is not gone or snapped in any way. He felt a sharp pain and had to take him off at half time, let it settled down then give him a scan to see how bad it is. Hopefully we can get him back in a few weeks’ time.

“Connor Wickham has been unlucky with injuries, injury after injury, and he has not been available in my time at the club. He has worked hard to get fit, played a game then got injured again. It was nice he could play again and I am looking forward to seeing him playing on Sunday. Some of these players really need a rest now and if I let the medical department pick the team there will not be too many seniors left.”
